I quit my job as a chef in Taiwan and came to Australia on a working holiday visa. At the beginning, I chose to keep working in kitchens for my first two jobs because it was familiar. With only half a year left on my visa, and since restaurant work couldn’t help me extend my visa and the situation became a bit urgent, I turned to a Taiwanese recruitment agency.
I was very lucky and everything went smoothly—I found a position at a chicken farm. The job was great in every aspect: stable hours, stable pay, and a good working environment. I was very satisfied. Before I knew it, I had worked at the farm for a full year and successfully obtained my third-year visa. I’m extremely grateful to the reliable and supportive agency that helped me along the way.
